The history of the Georgetown Loop begins during a time when the mountains were appreciated not just for their appearance, but also for what was hiding inside, Silver!

The Georgetown Loop Railroad is located only (45) miles from Denver and is nestled high in the Rocky Mountains. The rail climbs more than 600 feet in elevation in just two miles all while traversing some of Colorado’s steepest canyon walls and offering spectacular views of the mountains.

As an added advantage, you will be seated in the Parlour Car, where you will be provided with a flight of (4) local beers and an educational session from a local brew master! Enjoy pours from Tommyknocker and Guanella Pass, two mountain breweries, while also enjoying light snacks.

This Historic Georgetown loop experience will provide an incredible feeling of stepping back into another time where the railroad ruled, mining was a way of life, and outlaws littered the land.

Includes:

  • 75-minute train Georgetown Loop Train Ride

  • (4) Local Beer Tasters per person (Tommyknocker Blood Orange IPA, Tommyknocker Drift Blonde Ale, Guanella Pass Pale Ale, Guanella Pass American Wheat)

  • Local Brew Master

  • Free time to explore Idaho Springs, CO

  • Applicable gratuities and service fees

  • Bottled water on-board vehicle - Round-trip transportation
